¶ Choose your Membership (Open Source & free, or paid & digitally signed)
We provide a free, open-source membership to help you get started with NetLock RMM. This membership allows you to easily compile all required packages for your installation, streamlining the setup process. For added convenience, we can also host these packages directly for you, making onboarding smoother. You’re free to host these packages on your own server if you prefer. Just download them from our platform and upload them to your server to have complete control over their deployment.
However, please note that these packages are not digitally code-signed, so we recommend using them only in test environments, homelabs, or other non-critical setups. For secure, large-scale, or production environments, a code-signed membership package is a better choice to ensure authenticity and security.

¶ Post Server Installation Checklist
If this is your first NetLock RMM installation, follow these steps to familiarize yourself with the solution and ensure everything is set up properly.
¶ Verify your setup is working correctly
Ensure that all components are set up correctly. In your web console, navigate to the left sidebar, find the Settings section, and open System.
Please verify the MySQL connection. The expected result should resemble the following format:
Now, please check that your NetLock RMM Server is up and running, and ensure that the file server and remote server roles are properly configured.
Now definitely make sure you setup the package provider URL. The package provider URL must be set to enable the NetLock RMM server backend to retrieve agent packages. You can either package and deploy these yourself or use the NetLock Members Portal, which is a faster and recommended option. If you forgot to configure the package provider URL during the setup of the web console, remember to reboot your server after you’ve made the change. This ensures that the new settings take effect properly.
